What it’s like to work here
OpenCrate is a small company that runs several other companies. That means our teams are lean, our scope is clear, and the work moves fast. You will own real things. You will ship to real customers. You will sit close to the founders who started it, and your fingerprints will be on the products people actually use.
We work in person in Lagos when we can, and remotely when it makes sense. We pay competitively for the global market, not the local one. We give equity in the company you join. We expect a lot — and we try, every day, to be the kind of place that earns it.
What we look for
Taste. Judgement. Care. The instinct to fix a typo on a slide that isn’t yours. The patience to do something the slow, right way when the fast, wrong way is right there. A high tolerance for ambiguity and a low tolerance for sloppiness.
We do not require a fancy CV. We do require evidence — code you wrote, things you built, customers you served, projects you carried. If you have a story to tell, we want to hear it.

Internships & residencies
We take a small number of interns and residents each year. Many of them join through BuildCamp, our six-month residency hacker house opening in Q4 2026. Applications open in mid-2026.
